Join the Aztec Testnet validator set to start proposing blocks and voting in network upgrades.
We've integrated ZKPassport to enable node operators to prove they are human and participate in the network. This integration helps to prevent sybil attacks and keep bots out, all without compromising the privacy of network operators.
Prove You Are Human
Use the onboarding flow on this page to prove you are a unique human. ZKPassport utilizes zero-knowledge proofs to verify your identity using a passport or national ID. The proof is generated locally on your phone so none of your personal details are shared. Read more here.
Join the Validator Set
Once you've proven your humanity, you'll be able to add yourself to the validator set queue. This queue enables good actors to maintain control of the network as new sequencers are added each day. Sequencers in the set can propose & verify blocks and vote on governance upgrades.
Connect on Discord
Share your Discord username to get a special role on the Aztec Network discord. This will enable you to connect with the team, get support, and interact with other sequencers in the validator set.
1. Connect Your Wallet
Please connect your wallet with the address you want to register as a validator. Make sure you are on Sepolia testnet.
Note: Only one validator can be authorized per passport for the testnet.
2. Verify Humanity
Please verify your humanity in a privacy preserving way using ZKPassport. Note that neither ZKPassport or Aztec have access to your passport data.
Download the ZKPassport app from the App Store or Play Store, scan your passport in the app, and then connect to this page by clicking the button below.
3. Register Validator
Congratulations! You can now add your validator to the queue.
Adding your validator will send a transaction on Sepolia costing about 0.0001 ETH (0.03 Gwei gas). You can claim Sepolia ETH from a faucet like this.
Claim Discord Role
Share your Discord ID to claim a special Explorer role in the Aztec Discord. This role will allow you to get support, interact with other sequencers, and discuss governance proposals. Make sure to join the Aztec Discord server first.
